In one of our recent workshops, we decided to try something new and innovative—mobAI. This is a collaboration method that's been widely adopted at companies like Tesla, and we wanted to gain first-hand experience.

Our mobAIExperiment: A New Way of Working

Imagine a meeting room filled with team members, laptops, and a challenging agenda. The ingredients for a long and daunting day were coming together, and we hadn’t even gotten started yet. However, this time, we chose to break old habits and take a different approach to achieving our goals for the day.

Inspired byJoe Justice's explanation of mobAI (LINK), we structured our team with a driver, a navigator, and a mob working together. We embraced mobAI principles, with roles switching every 7-minute time box, ensuring that the driver had a sense of success before stepping out. The learning pace was incredibly fast.

KeyTakeaways from Our Experiment

At the end of the day, we had reached our goals, and we were very satisfied with the results. However, it’s was not just about reaching the goals. Throughout the day, everyone was engaged, focused, and most importantly, we were having a blast. The psychological safety meter was on the rise as we helped each other succeed. The rapid rotation of roles kept us energized throughout the session.

Conclusion:Shaping the Future Together

In a world where new collaboration methods are evolving, our journey into mobAI was an eye-opener. We learned that by experimenting with new approaches, we become the architects of change.

Our commitment to finding better ways to work continues, and experimenting with mobAI was both successful and fun. We wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. Let's continue pushing boundaries and shaping the future together.
